FAQ

The questions we actually get.

Where do the numbers come from?

CTUIL and CEA filings only: margins books, connectivity registers, application queues, revocation lists, construction registers. Nothing is bought, nothing is scraped from proprietary sources, and nothing is hand-entered. The full source list with dates is in the verification panel on every page.

How often does the site update?

With each register edition. The granted-connectivity register moves roughly monthly; the headroom book is currently a single edition, and the moment its second publication arrives, erosion-per-cycle becomes computable — that upgrade is automatic.

What is free, and what is the catch?

Everything, while we are in open beta. When paid tiers arrive, the aggregate views stay free and named search results will run on a monthly allowance (two full searches per email today). The catch is that we would rather have genuine professionals on the list than a large one — disposable email domains are rejected at the door.

Why do some fields say “not published” instead of a number?

Because the filing does not publish it, and a blank must never be dressed up as a zero. We keep four different kinds of blank apart for exactly this reason.

How solid are the closure estimates?

They are brackets, not forecasts. The floor (queue alone covers the margin) needs no dates. The ceiling assumes stated dates hold, which the seven-edition archive says they often do not — median slip is 123 days. Both edges are always drawn so you can judge.

The source sheets say RESTRICTED. Is this legal?

We republish no sheet verbatim and reproduce no table as filed. Everything here is derived, aggregated analysis with attribution, for professional reference. The marking is acknowledged openly on every page rather than buried; see the About page for the full position.

Can I use your figures in my report or deck?

Yes, with attribution (“India Grid Monitor, derived from CTUIL/CEA filings”). For systematic or commercial redistribution, write first.

How do I get my account and data deleted?

Write to [email protected] from your registered address. Account, watchlist and search records go within 48 hours; the brief list unsubscribes in one click from any email.

Is there an API or bulk export?

Not yet. The roadmap page lists what is being built next; subscriber requests get weighted honestly.

Who built this?

About page has the honest version.
