India Grid Monitor — ISTS connectivity, reconciled
Who holds India’s inter-state transmission queue, how much headroom remains at each
substation, and when access closes. The numbers come from CTUIL’s own connectivity
filings and CEA’s construction register, verified against 47 automated checks.

What the data says (2026-08 edition)
- 112 tracked ISTS substations (98 RE with published margins + 14 thermal hosts); of 75 pressured nodes: 44 closed by margin or queue, 11 dated to close, 20 still open
- 1,414 connectivity applications in the pipeline (345 GW); 875 approved grants awaiting effectivity
- The granted book: 1,423 grants, net +9 this edition (26 added, 17 departed)
- 6,213 MW of two-sided collisions at 5 contested nodes
- Median filed-to-grant latency 176 days; median date slippage +123 days across the seven-edition archive
- 256 verified developer groups; 85.7% of held MW parented to a known corporate group
